Medieval Silver Cross Pendant. Circa 12th-14th century CE. Silver, 24.5mm x 18mm 2.10g. A medieval devotional cruciform pendant with large suspension loop and rounded knop terminals on each of the cross arms. The flattened central area is engraved with Alpha and Omega on either side. The first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, which were used as a monogram to refer to God. ex. Private UK collection. Accompanied by old dealers ticket (wrongly identified as Anglo-Saxon, found Suffolk).
